The Shape of Things to Come
Having long been admirers of design which can twist and blend technology with nature, or create spaces and forms that look both ancient and from the future, effortless yet knowingly complicated and beautiful, we've fallen in love with the world of Ibuku and what it represents.
Based in Bali, they are pioneering innovations in bamboo design and construction, shining a light on this abundant grass as the building material of the future. Founded by Elora Hardy, a fine artist and print designer, Ibuku's belief is that of a hopeful and inspirational world where innovating with natural materials connects people with nature. They see a chance to design spaces that give people the experience of wonder.
Although these structures look not only magical but extremely comfortable in their natural jungle environment, we can't help but be inspired by how these concepts and materials, sustainable design ideas and visions of tomorrow can be translated elsewhere.
